Jim Boeding
Jim graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business Administration. While serving in the United States Military he served as a finance specialist dealing with payroll and various other accounting duties. Following service in Vietnam, he worked in the industrial engineering division of a packing company and has been a systems analyst for an area hospital. He has operated a farm in Winneshiek County in Northeast Iowa for 29 years and has worked on numerous boards, committees and commissions in many different capacities. Jim currently is serving on the Board of Directors for Golden Grain Energy, LLC, an ethanol plant located in Mason City, Iowa. He has served as Golden Grain Energy’s first treasurer and is currently chairman of their Audit Committee.

 
Pat Boyle
Pat is the Business Development and Member Services Manager for Hawkeye REC. He is a Graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Business Administration. He has over twenty years of experience managing ag supply cooperatives in southern Minnesota and northeast Iowa. He currently has been in his position as Business Development Manager for over five years. In the past he has been a steering committee member for Golden Grain Energy. To prepare for the Golden Grain Energy ethanol venture he had attended the International Fuel Ethanol Workshop and Trade Show and an Ethanol Plant Development Workshop, plus a Land-O-Lakes Management Development Course. Also, in the past he has been a consultant with the U.S. Foreign Aid Department in Russia organizing, structuring and forming agricultural cooperatives and free enterprise entities after the breakup of the collective farm system. He currently serves on the following boards, Lime Springs Industrial Development, Vice President of the Howard County Industrial Development, Winneshiek County Industrial Development, Winneshiek County Development Planning Commission, Five County Northeast Iowa Business Network, Northeast Iowa Region Rural Vitality Committee, steering committee for the Northeast Iowa Community Development Conference, and is an IAEC Member Service Board Member. In addition to serving on the local and state boards, Pat is the Iowa representative on the NRECA National Task Force for Health Care Reform.

 
Chad Kuhlers
Chad currently is the Plant Manager for Golden Grain Energy LLC ethanol plant in Mason City, Iowa. Prior to employment with Golden Grain Energy he was the operations manager for the Koch Hydrocarbon Company’s Medford, Oklahoma Fractionator. In addition to his responsibilities as Operations Manager, he served as the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, DCS Engineer and Plant Maintenance Engineer. Prior to employment with Koch Hydrocarbon Co., Mr. Kuhlers was employed as a Project Engineer for Koch Refining Company in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
 
Leslie Hansen
Leslie Hansen has served as a director of Homeland since her appointment by Golden Grain Energy, pursuant to Golden Grain's right of appointment under Section 5.3 (f) of our Operating Agreement. In addition to her service for Homeland, Ms Hansen is also a director on the board of directors for Golden Grain Energy. Ms Hansen has served as the Vice President/CFO of Precision of New Hampton, Inc. from 1986 to the present, where she performs managerial and financial duties. From 2002 to the present, Ms Hansen has also served as Vice President/CFO of Hotflush, Inc. where she performs accounting and tax preparation duties. In addition, Ms Hansen is the President of Sizzle X, Inc., an investment firm located in New Hampton, Iowa.
 
Edward Hatten
Ed Hatten has served as a director of Homeland since he was appointed by Steven J Retterath to the Board of Directors on Dec. 3, 2007, pursuant to Mr. Retterath's right of appointment under Section 5.3(f) of our Operating Agreement. Mr. Hatten has been retired for over five years following a career in the crop protection industry, where he owned and operated Northland Helicopters, Inc., headquartered in Stacyville, Iowa. Northland Helicopters offered pesticide protection services to area farmers and other agricultural producers.
 
Steven Retterath
Steve Retterath has served as a director of Homeland since he was appointed by himself to the Board of Directors on Dec. 3, 2007, pursuant to his right of appointment under Section 5.3(f) of our Operating Agreement. Mr. Retterath has been retired since 2002 from a long career in the industrial crane rental business. Prior to his retirement, he was the principal owner and President of General Crane, Inc., an industrial crane rental business headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida.
 
Jerry Calease
Jerry Calease has served as a director of Homeland since being elected in March 2010.  Mr. Calease has owned and operated a corn and soybean farming operation in Bremer county Iowa.  Mr. Calease has been a certified crop advisor for over 10 years and a Douglas township trustee for over 20 years.  Mr Calease also serves on the board of directors of Golden Grain  Energy LLC. a publicly reporting company, and Bulter-Bremer Communications, a private company. 
 
Maurice Hyde
Maurice Hyde has served as a director of Homeland since being elected in March 2010.  Mr. Hyde was the President and CEO of United Suppliers, Inc. of Eldora, Iowa  from 2005 until 2007.  Since retirement in 2007, Mr. Hyde has been a consultant for United Suppliers, Inc. assisting in the transition of the new CEO following his reitrement.  United Suppliers, inc. is an agriculture wholesale and retail input company with distributions in 17 Midwest states with annual sales in excess of $1 billion and approzimately 650 employees.  Mr Hyde is also a director of hardin County Savings Bank, a private company and the Iowa River Railroad, a private company.
 
Christine Marchand
Christine Marchand has served as a director of Homeland since being elected in March 2010.  Ms Marchand was appointed to the position of Treasurer/CEO officer of Homeland Energy, LLC on  December 15h 2008 pursant to the Management Service Agreement.  Ms marchand resigned as Homeland Energy's Treasurer/CFO officer as of January 1, 2010.  Ms. Marchand also serves as the CFO for Golden Grain, LLC, where she has held this position since 2005.  prior to her employment at Golden Grain Energy, LLC, Ms. Marchand was the controller at Kiefer Built, LLC and was an accountant for a public accounting company.  ms Marchand is a Certified Public Accoutnat.
 
Duane Schwickerath
Duane Schwickerath has served as a director of Homeland since being elected in March 2010.  Mr. Schwickerath has been a self-employed farmer since 1978.
 
Matthew Driscoll
Mathew Driscoll has served as a director of Homeland since being elected in March 2010.  Mr. Driscoll has been the financial advisor for Tuve Investments, Inc. of Waterloo from 2001 to 2009.  In 2009, Mr. Driscoll first was employed by MidWestOne Financial Group of Cedar Falls, Iowa from January 2009 until March 2009.  Since June 2009, Mr. Driscoll has provided financial investment advice to individuals and businesses.  Mr. Driscoll also sits on the board of directors of Christensen and Driscoll Financial Services, Inc.  a private company.
